One Drive storage issue

I received a notification telling me that I was out of storage on OneDrive Cloud on my personal account so I bought extra storage. I received an email from Microsoft confirming this and acknowledging the credit card used. However, I still keep seeing the icon at the bottom tool bar with the red circle and white cross indicating that I am still over the limit and need to upgrade. There is absolutely no-one to talk to from Microsoft - terrible customer service! I'm 60 years old so not a whizz kid techy type. It's very frustrating to be going around in circles. I actually contacted the tech support guy who helps me remotely on my work Office 365 account and he couldn't help me so what hope do I have?

Thank you so much for your response. It’s just comforting to know I’m not alone with this issue and the fault is not at my end. That at least is reassuring. I do feel so powerless and I absolutely agree this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced - from one of the biggest, richest companies globally. How difficult can it be to get a human being to help? I am furious and stressed in equal measure. Anyway, thank you again for responding. I’m very grateful.

ImageI client of mine is having the exact same issue. And imo, the problem isn't on her end, its with the account on microsoft's computers. You can see it says in the middle of the screenshot she has 1TB of storage with her ms365 personal account, but it still only says 5GB available near the top of the screenshot. Cant get in touch with anyone on the phone at microsoft, tells you to go online, and then when you call back, they see you called before, block your options and hangup on you. The worst customer support I've ever seen in my life.

Thank you, Emily. I purchased it on Sunday evening so it is well over 48 hours. It's very frustrating as even the tech guy I can use for work (I'm self employed but use Office 365 - a different account) took control of my laptop and couldn't figure what had happened. I'll try to follow the link you suggest and see if I can sort it out.

    Hello Karine, this is Emily.

How long ago did you purchase the storage upgrade? It can take up to 24 hours for the change to reflect. Per Microsoft support, if it is not showing up after 48 hours, you can use this link https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=528676 It will take you into your OneDrive to sign in, and an email OneDrive support box will pop up. That's how you let them know that the storage is not reflected on your end yet. This information was shared from this support article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/my-o....
