Every time I open certain programs, like Adobe Acrobat Pro (64-bit), this error occurs on my Dell PC with Microsoft Windows 11 installed.

The full error message is:

The instruction at 0x000000006E3F26F4 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000018. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program

When I click on "OK", the popup window closes, and nothing visibly happens.

It doesn't appear to cause any issues with the operating system, but there must be a way to end the popup and correct the issue all together.

Has anyone else experienced this error?

    Hello, AmmieMarie

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. This type of error, often referred to as a "referenced memory error," can occur due to various reasons such as a software bug, outdated drivers, or issues with your computer's memory.

Here are some general troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Update your software and drivers: Ensure that your Windows 11, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and all your drivers are up-to-date. Outdated software or drivers can sometimes cause issues like this. Visit the manufacturer's official website to download the latest version.
    2. Change the size of virtual memory: Virtual memory, also known as the pagefile.sys file, is where Windows keeps track of how your computer juggles a lot of demands for memory. By allocating virtual memory, it can help fix the error:
