Alt and Ctrl keys stuck

Hello everyone.

So, long story short, yesterday some sort of virus got into my desktop Windows 10 PC. I seem to have been able to get rid of it with anti viruses and what not. However, my keyboard appears as if it’s continuously pressing the Alt and Ctrl keys, thus making it impossible to type (and pretty much use the mouse as well). I’ve tried uninstalling all the drivers, the keyboards software, cleaning the actual keyboard and everything I could think of. I can clearly see the stuck keys using the on screen keyboard. I’ve tried booting the system up without the keyboard plugged in and if I bring the on screen keyboard up it seems to be working perfectly. However, the moment I plug in the keyboard the keys get stuck again. I would think it has to do with the malware but I don’t know anymore. Also, if I unplug the keyboard the keys are still stuck on the on screen keyboard so I guess that can’t be good. (Here I can get rid of the Ctrl keys but the Alt key is always pressed) Is it safe to assume that it’s just the keyboard and if I get a new one this wouldn’t happen? (The keyboard has been working perfectly prior to this incident) Or is it some program within the pc that’s screwing up the keyboard so no matter which one I plug in it will mess up the Alt and Ctrl keys?

I’ve surfed the forums and tried some of the solutions but so far no luck, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Trying a different keyboard is indeed a good option, which can determine if the problem is with the system or with the keyboard hardware

At the same time, starting quickly can help determine whether there is a software anomaly in the system, especially the sticky key (pressing the Shift key five times in a row). https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd
