Problems after installing KB5035853

After installing KB5035853 my display does not turn anymore off when PC is idle.
Furthermore, the power and drive LEDs only show for a short moment when the PC is powered on, else they are off.

Any clues?

Tried resetting Windows 11. Didn't work. PC totally broke 😒

Did a totally new install of Windows 11.

It has since installed KB5035853 without any problem.

Thanks for your support, much appreciated.

    Hi Sumit.

    No luck.

I didn't get the option to uninstall latest cumulative update, I only got these two:

    1. Uninstall latest quality update.
    2. Uninstall latest feature update.

Did 1. No change, the KB5035853 is still installed.

Then tried 2. No luck, "we ran into a problem and won't be able to uninstall the latest feature update of Windows. Try resetting your PC" 😒

KB5035853 is not available on the "Uninstall updates" page!

    Any suggestions?

    Br, Helge

    Hi Helge,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Please open the Windows Recovery environment using the steps below:

Press and hold Shift+click the restart button on the lock screen to open recovery options. Click Advanced options>Troubleshoot.

If you are not able to reach the lock screen or start your computer, restart your PC two times when the boot screen is shown. On the third time, windows should open Windows Recovery automatically. Select Advanced options>Troubleshoot.

From there, select Uninstall updates>Uninstall the latest cumulative update.

Let us know how that goes.
