Just allowed a Microsoft agent to take control of my computer remotely and after an hour of him trying he had no solution. This issue should be an embarrassment for Microsoft in how pervasive it is.
Windows 11 does not recognize correct native resolution. Will not run HDR.
Windows 11 FASLEY claims my display is 1920 x 1080, THIS IS NOT TRUE. My setup is meant to have 3840 x 2160 as its native resolution, IT IS CAPABLE OF HDR. When I try to turn HDR on, it instantly turns off. Yes, my display can handle 4k it is an LG OLED TV. My TV is explicitly a 4k TV. Yes, my graphics card can handle 4k, it is a GeForce RTX 3090. Yes, my drivers are all up to date. Yes, I'm using the right HDMI cables. Yes windows 11 is up to date. I just did a factory reset that did not work either. Why is windows 11 not recognizing the correct resolution, and why is it preventing me from using HDR? To any Microsoft agent, copying and pasting the suggestions I have already checked is categorically unhelpful.
