Hello, im currently thinking of uninstalling java, is it safe to uninstall java and will it affect my laptop or my apps?

Hi, I'm Elise, a fellow user like yourself and I'd be happy to help with your issue.
Some apps require Java to run, so if you install these will no longer function. It is difficult to say which apps this will affect as there can be many.
However if you do uninstall and run into problems, you could simply reinstall it again.
