Issues regarding pc

So, recently my PC has started with this popup (see below) to sign in via work/school account. The issue I have is that the email that was orignally connected to it was my university email and now, after having left a couple of years, the university shut down older email accounts. So I have no access to this email account as I assume it has been shut down completely. I cannot seem to find a workaround to be able to disconnect this without signing into the account. Please, does anyone know of some work around I can do, because this pop up is now just interfering with my day to day use on PC?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

    Hi, Maddocks977,

Sorry to hear about this issue.

You may try the following to disconnect the account:

    1. Click the Start (Windows) > Settings > Accounts > Access work or school.
    2. Select your school account, then select Disconnect.
    3. Select Yes to confirm your actions.

Note that this will not delete the account entirely, it will just remove access from your PC
