Taskbar problem on my Asus computer

Hello community,

On my gaming PC (Asus TUF Gaming, Ryzen7, RTX 3070ti), I have black bars at the level of the taskbar when my screen is set to 144hz. (photo 1)

When I go into a game or a photo editing software in full screen, where the taskbar doesn't appear, the black and white bars disappear (but not always).

When I lower the resolution frequency to 60hz, these bars disappear even when the taskbar is visible. (photo 2).

Moreover, my computer does not detect this problem because when I take a screenshot, the big black and white bars on my taskbar do not show. (photo 3)

Do you have a solution to this problem?

For your information: I have updated my graphics card with the latest drivers offered by Nvidia. I have updated my integrated AMD graphics card. I have no updates to do on my Windows, this has been going on for a few weeks but I was able to manage by switching to 60hz.

Could you help me?

Thanks all, have a good day,

Valentin

    Hi ValouToulouse,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on the information available (the problem lasted several weeks and there was no Windows update), the problem may be related to the graphics hardware itself.

It could be a compatibility conflict between the driver and other components, or it could be a physical failure.

In some cases, installing the latest drivers for the graphics hardware is not always the recommended option.

Would you mind sharing further tests and observations with us?

This thread originating from the NVIDIA forums mentions tools to clean up graphics drivers.

This AMD-originated link mentions a tool to clean up AMD drivers.

For NVIDIA graphics hardware, you can visit this link for a specific version of the driver.

For AMD graphics hardware, you can visit the driver download page for the corresponding product to retrieve a previous version of the driver.
