BSOD when computer is lightly loaded

I'm experiencing some random BSOD issues and I'm been unable to pinpoint an exact cause. They mostly appear when the computer is lightly loaded, or soon after being heavily loaded. IE, as long as the computer is running code compile, intensive video games, etc. it remains stable. But, soon after closing such tasks, the computer will begin to crash, generally within five minutes. Once the computer starts to crash, it will crash repeatedly upon restart until the computer has been shut off for some time (generally overnight).

I've already tried to DDU & reinstall video drivers/chipset drivers/etc without success. I've also run memtest86 uninterrupted for a few hours and never reported an error. I've been able to locate a handful of minidump files, which are available here: DMP files.zip

The computer's basic specs are:

AMD Ryzen 7950X

AMD Radeon 7900 XTX

32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz RAM

Windows 11

I'd appreciate any assistance!

Hi, thank you for the detailed information, upon checking and analyzing the event logs you have, there is a significant error with Kernel-Power, which means there is an error with the hardware itself, this might happen when the processor is overheating or getting low power from the motherboard or in the power supply, in addition, let us run troubleshooting steps to ease the performance of the PC, kindly follow the steps below:

    Method 1. Do clean boot:

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    • On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    • Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    • Close Task Manager.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

Method 2. Restore default power options

-Press the Windows key + R then type:

    powercfg -restoredefaultschemes

    -Restart the PC and check.

    Method 3. Run power troubleshooter

    • Press the Windows key + R then type:

    msdt.exe /id PowerDiagnostic

    • Click OK then follow the prompts to run the power troubleshooter

    -Restart the device after

Note: The issue happens when there is a power loss on the board or in the power supply unit and if the issue persists after doing all the steps, I suggest contacting a local technician to physically check the device for any hardware-related issues.

    Hi Bernard,

I checked and do not have additional minidump files, but I have exported the system logs as shown in your link. You should be able to correlate date/time of the errors from the minidumps to entries here. Files are here: events.evtx.

    Thanks,

    Aaron

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, can you further check if you have more dump files on the PC? as per checking the Minidump files, it is only displaying general errors, in addition, can you please check the System logs on the PC so that we can further examine what is the root cause of the issue?
