Hello,

I bought an LG monitor (27GP850-B) but my laptop doesn't allow to display anything on the screen.

Moreover, the display on the laptop is very buggy.

I can see the LG monitor on the device manager but not on the display manager.

I have this setup :

  • MSI GF65 Thin 10SDR
  • GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

With all Windows 11 and graphics drivers up to date.

I tested the monitor with a Linux OS and it is working a well !

Do you have any idea ?

    Hello Dave,

Thank you a lot for your answer.

I have solved my problem with your solution.

I downloaded the graphic driver available on MSI website (and not on NVidia).

The up to date version of Nvidia driver is 551.23 and the installed is 451.83.

Now, I can use my monitor :)

The only bug is for a refresh rate at 144Hz (the screen have flashes) but at 120Hz, I don't have any problem.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

You indicate the display on the laptop is also buggy, that usually indicates a problem with the graphics drivers.

Completely remove the current Nvidia device driver using the widely available free DDU utility, then restart your PC and go to the Nvidia website to download and install a slightly older version of the Nvidia device driver.

A slightly older version of that driver is more stable than the latest version.
