Application Error Dialogue Message

When an error appears with the name of the application, I can neither find the .exe file named nor can I use the info in the dialogue to find the error in the Windows Log under Application. What is the key knowledge I'm lacking to find the log entry?

Is there any "how to" instructions for finding log events with the info in the error dialogue message?

As it is, the user closed the dialogue message expecting me to find it in the logs using the time/date the message appeared.

I have no idea when the message will appear again.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I am here to help and provide assistance with any questions or concerns you may have.

I think for this you can use Event Viewer.

Open Event Viewer by typing "Event Viewer" in the Windows search bar. Navigate to "Windows Logs" and then "Application".

Look for any recent events that correspond to the time when the error occurred.

You can filter events by time to narrow down the search.
