Window 10 error no boatable device found

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering an issue with my Windows 10 laptop where it displays "No bootable device found" upon startup. Initially, I had enabled UEFI Secure Boot, but I switched from UEFI to Legacy and performed a fresh install of Windows 10. The laptop works fine initially after the fresh install, but upon subsequent startups, it shows the "No bootable device found" message. After several restart attempts, it eventually starts working.

I've checked the health of my SSD, and it's reported as excellent, indicating that the SSD is functioning properly. However, I'm puzzled about what might be causing this issue. When I access the BIOS setup during the "No bootable device found" message, SATA 0 is listed as "none." After a few restart attempts, the hard disk appears in the system information, and the laptop starts normally.

Could this be an issue with the SSD, despite its reported excellent health status, or might there be another underlying problem? Any assistance or insights into resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Thank you for that information.

If your BIOS is fully up to date, go to the support page for your PC on the Dell website, then from there, download and install the version of Chipset drivers they recommend.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

This may be a problem with that SSD if it is disappearing from BIOS, the first thing to do is go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, and check if there is a BIOS update available that may not yet be installed on your PC.
