Windows Preview Builds

My new PC has received several Preview Builds in Windows Updates over the last 36 hours. The only fix (cough cough) that I have found is to go to Windows Update > Windows Insider Program and either uncheck Preview Builds or unenroll from the program. I am not a member of the Insider Program so neither is possible.

How do I stop getting Preview Builds?

Can you send us the screenshot of the update history?

As I said, I was on 22H2. There were absolutely previews in the updates I've received over the last 48 hrs.

After an update last night, my build changed to 22621. At this moment, it's telling me that 23H2 is available for installation.

    I've had it with Windows.

Thank you - then you are not getting Insider Builds.

Even you are not on 23H2 yet.

Possibly the system installed multiple monthly updates released yesterday. Some updates include .net preview updates, so this is fine.

Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.

    Build 22621.ni_release.220506-1250
    (Last night it was 22H2)

Everything in Diagnostics & Feedback is off.
The 1st thing I do with any new system is disable diagnostics & telemetry in Settings/Services.

    Hi Tolerant,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Type "winver" in the search/Run box and press enter.

What is the Build and version number reported in the Window?\

Open the Settings app using Win+I buttons.

    Click on Privacy & security.

    Click on Windows permissions.

    Click on Diagnostics & feedback.

Under the Diagnostic data section, select Required diagnostic data.

This will turn off the optional diagnostic data.

This should temporarily get rid of Insider Builds.
