Hello.

When try to play magic the gathering through steam the cpu goes up to 100 % and the 80-85% is from the game and the fans goes crazy. I figured i have outdated driver or something, so i try to find driver updates through windows update, and optional updates.. but everything is up to date.

Then i thought okay, and checked the device manager through control panel to check for yellow or red notifications. But didnt find any, but anyhow i searched for updates in device manager even though it didnt have any indications of needing updates (the ones i tried until i gave up was up to date).

Then i though okay again, and tried to troubleshoot windows update, and there it is "issue detected", i tried to troubleshoot again to be sure that it was resolved as it proclaims but it comes again. Then a third time for good messure, but it still there. Then i tried the "sfc /scannow", but it says "... did not find any integritation violations". ..............

Without any programs running: 11 - 15% cpu, 35% memory, 1% disc, 43c temperature. With the one game launched at the lowest setting, (its a online card game): 85 - 100% cpu (most 100), 44% memory, 1% disc, 90c temperature until the fans hits hard, then its down to 66 - 80 - 85c temperature, after a while it stays at around 65 - 70c. But cpu is staying between 97-100%.

..................

I did a factory reset on the computer because of a problem this forum helped me with. I downloaded a healthsecurity zip, that fixed "IT-ADMINISTRATION limited access problem".

    Assuming a branded PC;

    By default, win 11 update auto updates only critical win updates, and nothing else unless you have made the mistake of selecting the "Get latest updates" option, and if you have turn it off.

    You obtain both Bios & Drivers updates from the PC Maker, there should be a shortcut on your system to that makers update utility, and no other source.

    Then set bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced to retest
