Computer Restarts Without Warning: Latest Microsoft Redistributables and Waves Central May Be The Cause

How do I safely uninstall the latest Microsoft Redistributables without ruining my Windows 7 machine? I even wonder if they're to blame for making Firefox hang and stop responding on that machine. I specifically use this machine with Sonar 8.5 and JAWS 15, and this didn't happen until I attempted to install Waves Central, which automatically started installing some Microsoft Visual C Runtime Redistributables which made the audio stutter, and suddenly when I try Firefox, the Internet connection is extremely sloooooooowwwwwwww! How do I fix this without making the machine unbootable?

I could go back to 7/22/2022, which is when I know my machine was working fine, where I don't have to reinstall all my programs. That was a system backup I made when I lost a hard drive that had all my virtual instruments on it, as I was upgrading from a spinning hard drive to a solid state drive for the operating system. However, I wonder if I would need sighted help to do this, as I'm sure it might take hours depending on what programs I need to reinstall, as some of them require sighted help to configure to the right settings.

You do not go back that far at all.

I am talking about a day, or a week or so.

System Restore Points are made on a regular basis, not every couple of years.

July 2022 is much too far in the past to safely do a System Restore.

Have you tried simply uninstalling the recently-installed Visual C++ Redistributable?

Click Start, type appwiz.cpl in the Search box, and press Enter.

Scroll to Microsoft Visual C++ and you'll see a collection of them.

Start with uninstalling the most recent version, reboot after it's removed, and test.

All I can suggest is do a System Restore to a time before you started to install Waves Central as you say that caused the problems.
