HP Pavillion 15t-eg300 touchpad very stiff

Hello

Purchased a new HP Pavillion 15t-eg300. The touchpad is very stiff - i.e., I have to press hard to click. I changed the touchpad sensitivity to "very sensitive" and turned off Enhanced pointer precision in Mouse settings - both suggestions I found on the web - but it's still bad.

Thanks

I'm sorry but it seems that I ran out of ideas. Maybe someone has a better resolve.

    Thanks Jerico.

I tried Methods 1 and 2, and they made no difference.

For Method 3 I tried searching on both HP 15t-eg300 and on 78G39AV but was not able to find the driver online.

    Please advise.

You're welcome. Yes, that's okay if you see the "Synaptics Precision Touchpad Filter Driver", right-click on it and follow the remaining steps then kindly let me know if it made any difference.

    Regards,

    Jerico T.

    Hi Jerico,

Thanks for the quick reply. I completed Method 1 which did not change anything.

On Method 2, under "Mice and other pointing devices" the only option is

"Synaptics PrecisionTouchpad Filter Driver" not HID-compliant mouse.

    Please advise.

    Thanks
