hello,

whenever i open photos app this error is showing up, i tried many ways you mentioned for other people, but they didn't work. Also microsoft store says: "something went wrong, but we are making it right. Try refreshing or come back later".

I tried these solutions:

Make sure Windows is up to date.
* Select StartSettings  > Windows Update > Check for updates. If there is an available update, select Install now

"would suggest you follow the steps below and see if it helps:

Method 1: Windows Store App troubleshooter.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Type “Troubleshooting” on the Windows Search bar and hit enter.
  2. On the left side of the Troubleshooting window, click on “View all”
  3. Click on Windows Store App. Please provide a password if asked for it and click ok.

Method 2:  If this doesn't help, try reset Windows store.

1.On the Search bar type “cmd” and click ctrl + shift + Enter to open the Elevated Command Prompt. (If prompted for a password, type the password and click Allow)

2 . Type "WSreset.exe" and click Enter.

  1. Restart Windows store."

"Please check if performing a system file check helps in any way.

  1. Press Windows+X on the keyboard.
  2. Select Command Prompt (Admin).
  3. In the Command Prompt window type the following:
    sfc /scannow
  4. Wait for the scan to complete. Restart the computer and check for the issue" "I recommend you to run the following PowerShell script to re-register the Store and check if it works:
    1. Press Windows key + X.
    2. Click on Command Prompt (Admin)
    3. In the command prompt, enter the following command: PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}
    4. Reboot the device and check if issue is resolved."

*Reset the microsoft store cash.

*delete cache file from localappdata.

all of them didn't work. Please help.

    Hey Nour.
I've been facing the same issue for about 3 days now, and I just found the solution (at least for me). My region was for some weird reason set to North Korea, which I assume is a place where the store isn't available. So, you could check and see if the region is set right in Settings > Time & language > Region.
I hope this solved your problem and let me know if it did :)

    Gustav

    Hi, nour alrafei

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing errors with Photos and Microsoft Store, I know from your problem description that you've tried resetting the Microsoft Store cache, troubleshooting, etc., but none of them have resolved the problem.

I think you can try an in-place upgrade to see if the problem persists, perform in-place install or in-place upgrade to refresh Windows files and OS without deleting files or applications. ***That said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you back it up before making major system changes.*** If you want to back up your data first, please do so. Once the backup is complete, you can follow the steps in the guide below:

    [How to run In-place upgrade in Windows 11 - Microsoft Community](https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_11-windows_install/how-to-run-in-place-upgrade-in-windows-11/4d469147-2747-4dcb-88a4-aae9273a4500 "answers.microsoft.com")

If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.
