How to bring up Windows 10 bypassing Pin using Cmd prompt.

My computer comes up asking for a PIN number since last Windows update. I do not have the Pin as I had been using the Password to get in. I can get into Troubleshooter and can utilize the Cmd prompt. I have setup an Administrator user and it is active. I have disabled the built in user. I am in the Safe mode. And running under Network, I am not able to use many of the Cmds under the Cmd prompt. I searched for but could not find the flag in the Registry that allows the user to use either PW or Pin. The phone number shown for reset is my old number and is not a text number. My phone co. Does not allow me to change it from a LL number to a text number. Based on what I have available to me, how do I get into Windows. I have reloaded updates and restarted computer twice, no changes. Now what?

    Hi William Machacek,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a special way to bypass the PIN.

Check if the option to uninstall updates under Windows Recovery Environment also prompts for a PIN or password requirement.

The options for uninstalling updates should be located in the "Advance options" list under "Troubleshoot".

If the option to uninstall updates is not available, it may be necessary to consider other special bypasses to try to gain access to the device.

If options such as "Ease of Access" or ""Accessibility" on the lock screen/login screen on your device are still available, content in the following thread described an idea summarized by community members to reconfigure local accounts by temporarily replacing system components with Windows media.

    This will be last-ditch effort.

If the situation persists, the remaining option would be to back up your data and perform a Windows reinstallation.

OK, I am showing a message “Uninstalling latest quality update”. The uninstall lasted about 15 minutes, then the msg “we ran into a problem and won’t be able to uninstall the latest quality update of Windows” appeared. So, I’m still stuck with my problem. And BTW, I Only have access to windows through the Command prompt and Trouble Shooter. So any information or instructions should be those which can be executed from the Cmd line. Thanks for your help and look forward to additional thoughts on this matter. Bill

Thank you for getting back to us.

If your device does not boot to the lock screen, or there are no other options available on the lock screen to log in to your other administrator account or perform a special component replacement process.

Then the final choice will be to reset or reinstall.

Or, changes in Windows Hello data are affected by TPM, reset the TPM module to see if the situation is different.
