Booting issue - Preparing Automatic Recovery
Dear all,
I have an issue with my Lenovo IdeaPad not booting correctly or not booting at all.
When pressing the Power button on the laptop, the screen shows the Lenovo greeting screen for a while, and then a text at the bottom appears with
"Preparing Automatic Repairs ". After a while, the screen goes blue with a tiny text in the upper left corner "Recovery". After another minute or so, the laptop shuts down.
I've tried almost all the ideas and steps provided on the internet to revive the computer but to no avail.
I have created an ISO image and tried to boot from USB. Sometimes, it goes through the Windows basic screen asking to choose language, keyboard, etc. and subsequently provides a choice whether I want to Install or Repair. Choosing either option results in a blue screen with text saying your computer ran into problems..., and sometimes it provides the error code 0x0000178.
Is there anything else I can do to restore it to its previous glory?

The 0xC0000178 error is a Windows startup error, and there can be many possible reasons for this error, including a corrupted hard disk, corrupted file system, and so on. It needs to be troubleshooted step by step.
It is recommended to replace the USB flash drive with another good quality USB flash drive to recreate a USB flash drive installation media (not an ISO image), boot with the USB flash drive, select New Installation, and format the disk.
Production guidelines reference link: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...
Key points:
Select which media you want to use: USB flash drive: Attach a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space Attach a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.
If the same failure occurs during installation, it is recommended to check the disk hardware for damage.
Note: If the data files are very important, it is recommended to remove the disk and connect it to a normal computer to back up the data.
(At the same time, you can check whether the disk hardware is normal)
