i tried it with 4 different usb drives. all of them cause the same issue. one is a Kingston G3 8GB, 2 Intenso UBS3.0 16gb and another SanDisk Slide 32GB usb. all of them cause the same issue for me. I even tried to just download the iso with media creation tool. then use rufus to create bootable usb drives. but same outcome.
Can't reinstall Windows 10 - ErrorCode 0xc0000017
Hello everyone,
for the last 2 weeks, i try to reinstall Windows 10 x86 on my Acer Aspire Switch 10E. I downloaded a clean Windows 10 Iso with the help of the Media Creation Tool, created a bootable USB and plugged it into my Device. But everytime i try to boot to the USB, i get the Errorcode 0xc0000017.
I tried to boot up a WIndows 8.1 iso and that worked totally fine but it asked me for a Product Key. And as far as i know, there is no legal way to obtain a Windows 8.1 with Bing iso, so i was wondering, what i could do, so i can reinstall windows 10 again.
Device Specs:
Name: Acer Aspire Switch 10 E (SW3-013)
CPU: Intel Atom Z3735G
RAM: 1GB DDR3
HDD: 32GB eMMC
Windows for home | Windows 10 | Windows update

Please provide a photo of each tab you have available in your BIOS, so I can see all available settings.

Thanks for your help.
1
The Laptop does not support Legacy Mode, the BIOS is 32bit and Secure Boot is Disabled, otherwise it does not even recognize the USB Install Media for booting.

Yes, i am aware that it is not enough. Back in the day, it was shipped with Windows 8.1 with Bing but was also labelled "Eligable for Windows 10 Upgrade". And as Windows 8.1 support was about to end, i thought, it might be better to upgrade to windows 10, just to be on the secure side of things.

Boot that laptop into BIOS, is BIOS in Legacy Mode, is there an option to switch to UEFI Mode, then check if Secure Boot is temporarily disabled for the installation

1Gb of RAM is nowhere enough for Windows 10, the minimum you need is 4GB even for the 32bit version of Windows, the operating system alone will need 2GB of RAM, on 1GB of RAM you would be running on virtual memory form the eMMC all the time
