Hello,

I need to add network card on my hyper-v cluster nodes 2*10Gbs to replace 4*1Gbs.
Netword card with 4*1Gbs is ethernet cable wereas 2*10Gbs is with fiber channel.
On my cluster network 4*1Gbs was dedicated for client communication.
Switch embeded team is used for differents network trafic.

I would like to know what steps I need to do :

1-Install physically network card
2-Install driver
3-Remove 4 NIC 1Gbs from the switch embeded teaming and add the 2 NIC 10Gbs

There is something more to do because 2 things changes :
ethernet -> fiber channel (Do I need to use fibre channel virtual switch ?)
1Gb -> 10 Gbs

Thanks for your help

    Hi,

From Cluster network aspect, the Ethernet network and FC network are the same, just ensure the network communication well.

    Thanks for your time!
    Best Regards,
    Anne

    Thank you for your answer.

Is there anything to modify or imprive because it change from ethernet to FC ?
Hyper v FC switch is just for storage access ?

    Hi,

You may add the two 2*10GB network cards on the nodes follow your steps, then set the cluster network, after that, try to remove the original 4*1GB network cards.

    Thanks for your time!
    Best Regards,
    Anne
