Laptop not launching any program after update

Hello

Today, suddenly my laptop did not launch any programm after a windows update.

The only thing that can launch is the file explorer.

Even the taskbar icons cannot be launched or the shut down option.

Can someone help in this matter ?

    Hello again , I tried the advanced repair but it could not repair it.

    I will now try the system restore and see if that works out

    First, perform a repair and see if this could manage to fix the issue.

    *Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

    *Press the power button again to turn on your device.

    *On the first sign that Windows has started (for example, some devices show the manufacturer’s logo when restarting) hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

    *Press the power button again to turn on your device.

    *When Windows starts again, hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device.

    *Press the power button again to turn on your device.

    *This time, allow your device to fully start up.

    *Select Advanced options.

    *Now that you're in winRE, on the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair > Restart.

    If you still have the same issue, please do the steps above again and this time choose System Restore.

    Hello and thank you for the immediate response.

    Yes, I did what you mentioned and it did not resolve anything.

    Now in order to shut down my laptop I have to do a "hard "shutdown because when I press shutdown normally nothing happens.

    The window screen opens after the log in but after that I can only see my files on mg desktop but I cannot do anything else.

    Even the command window will not open.

    I tried to log into a different account but the same issue there.

    From what I understand, this happens after an update. To isolate your issue, can you perform and answer some questions below?

    *Can you force restart your Laptop? Hold the power button on your laptop for at least 5-10 seconds. As soon as the screen goes off, release the power button then press it again to reopen your Laptop. Is the issue fixed?

    *If you still have the same issue, can you manage to go to the control panel or settings?

    *Can you open your BIOS?

    *What method or steps have you performed to fix the issue so far?
