C:\--No Folder Yet

Hello, I have been trying to fix this problem for the past few days. I wanted to download minecraft, however when I tried, this thing showed up.(c:--No Folder Yet). I then contacted a microsoft agent, the service was great btw. They recommended I tried using a USB flash drive because my storage is too low. The thing is that ever since I had my computer, it's ALWAYS been low. So, i got my brand new USB drive and I put it as the default for "where new apps are stored", now it shows an empty text box and still doesn't let me pick anything other than the stupid "C:--No Folder Yet" thing. Either I get a refund for buying minecraft or someone tells me how to fix this problem ASAP. I have been trying to contact the live chat BUT it only gives me an empty page. It does not work. Please just give me some kind of solution because if it turns out I bought a game for nothing, it will be extremely disappointing coming from Microsoft. Thank you.
