Hello, I have a Samsung notebook with an i3-1115G4 and a 256Gb SSD 860 EVO and I use Windows 11. When the notebook has low battery and/or is in power saving mode, the disk usage goes to 100% and the operating system becomes unusable. I would like to know if there is any solution.

    Hi Hugo,

    Thank you for the reply.

I see. Please run the computer in Clean Boot mode first as advised earlier (if you have not done so far), and check how it goes. You can also run your computer in Safe Mode and check if the same thing is being experienced there or not. This is to check if any app/program is causing this issue. The below article should help you with the Safe Mode:

    Thank you.

Isso the System app, and it happens when the energy state changes. For example, when the battery is low and I plug in the charger, usage increases out of nowhere and the computer becomes unusable.

Hello Hugo! My name is Abdullah, and I will assist you today.

I am sorry to know that you are experiencing this issue. How long has it been that you are facing this issue? Did you change anything on your computer which may have caused this issue? When it uses the disk 100%, what app does it show that is using it 100% on the Task Manager? You can do that by the combination of below keys:

    CTRL + Shift + ESC

Also, please run your computer in Clean Boot mode and then test the computer, to check if the same thing is experienced there or not. The below article should help you with it:

    Thank you.

    Best,

    Abdullah
