Lately my computer has been randomly saying an error has occurred and is going to restart and noticed files are starting to disappear. I have included screen shots of the critical errors shown in event viewer. Guessing it’s a sign that my hard drive is in need of replacing?

    Unfortunately, the problem is with your HD. Several errors are pointing out bad sectors on the disk.

    Also, Crystal Disk Info has a warning on "Reallocated Sector Count". This is a hardware problem. There is no way to fix this problem, and it tends to get worse over time.

    This problem can cause irreparable data loss. So, I suggest you back up the data stored on this HD as soon as possible and replace the HD.

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    It does not necessarily mean that you need to replace the Hard Drive. It is necessary to investigate the problem a little deeper before assuming that this is necessary.

    Export and send the log for analysis:

    1. Press "Windows + X" and select "Event Viewer";
    2. Expand "Windows Logs" and select "System";
    3. In the "Actions" panel on the right, select "Filter Current Log";
    4. In "Event level", check the boxes "Critical", "Warning" and "Error" and click on "Ok";
    5. Again, in the "Actions" panel, select "Save Filtered Log File As" and save in an easily accessible place.

    Then, upload the file to the cloud (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc...), choose to share it, and get the link.

    Post the link to the file here so I can have a look.
