Hi! I have a problem with my device where in the device manager app and it is shown Video Controller code 28 in the Others tab. I've just upgraded the ram, and all I do is booting it up after I place the ram. But then suddenly my secondary monitor can't detect any signal and no secondary GPU detected. Then I noticed in the Others tab it is shown Video Controller error code 28. What can I do with it? I don't even know what manufacturer the device came from. My laptop is MSI Alpha 15. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, VGA : RX 5500M. Thanks!

Okay! I just found out that whenever I install the driver, no RX 5500M driver update is shown. It seems as if the VGA disconnected from the motherboard. But its onboard VGA, there is no way that I can unplug it.

Hi! I'm sorry it's late to reply. I already tried to install the driver from MSI website, but it is still not working. I'm still wondering what the Video Controller driver is for, and is it possible to install the driver by myself from device manager?

Here is the support page for your laptop on the MSI website, you can download the RX 5500M drivers from this link

Hi, Dave! I already installed the driver, but it seems to detect only the integrated GPU with the CPU only, which is RX Vega 10 and not the RX 5500M.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Most likely you have dual AMD graphics, if the drivers are installed correctly for the dedicated RX 5500M graphics, then you need to instal this driver for the integrated graphics on your AMD processor.
