Having Problems Separating my Personal Microsoft Account and my Work Microsoft Account. I am not able to Sign-In to OneDrive on my Personal Windows 10 Computer or my New Windows 11 Computer.

I have a Personal Microsoft Account and a Work Microsoft Account. I am not able to Sign-In to my Personal OneDrive on my Personal Windows 10 Computer. I installed Windows 11 on a New Computer yesterday, and when I Sign-In with my Personal Windows Account Password, I get connected to my Work's OneDrive Account. How can I further separate the Two Microsoft Accounts, and use my Personal Microsoft Account on my Windows 10 and my Windows 11 Machines?

Sorry for not answering this part the first time through. I am not using my Work Email Address as my Personal Account Name. Again, I did not see any Alias information, and if you might describe where I would find it, I can look again.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions that you might have!

    Hello Emily,

I apologize for the time it took to reply to your message. I was able to go to account.microsoft.com and sign in with my Personal MS Account and its password. I do not see any alias information, or a spot there to look at any alias names. It does show the Windows 11 machine that I built and the name I assigned to it. It only shows this one machine, and not my Windows 10 machine.

Can you tell me where to look for the Alias field, so I can check further, if you think it is important?

    Hello Richard,

Before I can provide you with a solid suggestion, I need to find out a bit more first if you don't mind.

Are you using your work email address as the username for your personal Microsoft account? If not, can you go to https://account.microsoft.com, sign into your personal Microsoft account, then click on Your Info > Sign in preference, do you see your work email address listed there as one of the alias?

Please let me know. I do suspect that's the case, but I don't want to just assume. Once I hear back from you, I will help you come up with a solution to address it. Thank you!
