Hello, I have a problem. When Im using auto-py-to-exe or pyinstaller on my program shows the next error: Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software. The program has Creat Redact Update Delete system and it connects with SQL db file it uses only local, has no APIs connected, and does not require the Internet for use.

  • Checked .py file with virustool
  • Full scan of the system
  • Reinstalled the system
  • Format all discs
  • Reinstalled all drivers
  • Updated Windows
  • Asked all existing AI tool
  • Read all the internet about the problem
  • Tried many recommendations for this problem
  • Auto-py-to-exe
  • Pyinstaller

Still the same problem, It looks like after Windows Defender latest update. I know I can just turn off Defender but it`s only a temporary solution to the problem, and if I want to use the program on another PC it will be impossible.

I'm here because this is my last hope to find the solution.

I appreciate any help or advice.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

When you create a new executable Defender will not recognize the code in your executable and the executable is not signed so Defender will flag it as a possible virus the best option is to create an exclusion to there new exe and its folder in Defender to stop it being flagged.

You can also submit your exe to the Defender team on this link so it can be added to their database.
