right side shift key not working

Hello there!

I suddenly experience the problem that my right side shift key is not working anymore. It is not a hardware issue and I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers as well as the sfc scan or the simple "windows troubleshooting".

On the on-screen keyboard it sometimes lights up blue for a split second but not reliably and not for more than seriously a few hundreds of seconds. If I press it five times in a row though, the pop-up if it want to activate "sticky keys feature". So apparently the computer is receiving an input from the keyboard but it doesn't work for typing.
