Is there any Microsoft documentation on the 'Shared with us' left navigation link that appears in SharePoint Online?

I notice that when I'm in a document library in SharePoint Online that the 'Shared with us' left navigation link appears intermittently:

I'm trying to find some documentation on what the purpose of this link is but wasn't able to find any on the Microsoft website. I was hoping to pass the information on to the users so that they can use that functionality if appropriate. Could someone please provide a link to the Microsoft documentation on this?

    @Neville Pinto ,

    Per my research, there is no Microsoft documentation on the 'Shared with us' feature.

    Per my test, this OOB feature is related to office 365 group, when anyone shares files to your group email, they will appear in "Shared with us".

    In addition, this link will appear when you access any modern library and list.

    And judging from the user’s voice, this feature is hard-coded and unable to be hidden.
