Hi guys, (sorry for my bad english but i need your help)

I have wifi connection problem only on my home network  (i have laptop MSI summit e16).

If I share that exact same wifi through hotspot with my smartphone it works well. But if I try to connect normally to the wifi it keeps disconnect me or it isnt even visible. For anyone else the wifi is working good.

It is only on this wifi other works good. When i bought this laptop and started it, it was working good maybe like half an hour or so and then it started disconnecting me or it is working for like 5 seconds and then dissconected me (once it started downloading for like 5 sec and then just discconect me again)

I have tried:

-Manually connct to the WIFI

-Enabling/disabling WIFI, WIFI adapter, WIFI driver

-I have use commands in command prompt like, fush dns, netsh winsock reset and etc. (every command that i found on microsoft support)

-wifi diagnositc on win 11

  • reinstalling wifi driver
  • updating wifi driver
  • using different wifi drivers
  • insatlling every win 11 update
  • reseting my wifi router

I have watched so many tutorials and nothing helps. Is there anything else i should try before i lose nerve ?

    Hi,

1.)Router and laptop are in the same room probably 1-1.5m away from each other. So yes situation remain.

2.) It is directly to the wifi router

3.) Both are 2.4 GHz and they have different SSID

4.) Wired only 1 PC, one smartTV

    Wireless 5 smartphones, 2laptops (1mine) and 1 smart TV

    Hi Kub0_0,

    more details are needed:

1)Are the router and laptop in the same room or are they in different rooms? Does the situation remain the same even if you place the laptop close to the router?

2)Do you connect directly to the router's WiFi network or through a WiFi Repeater or Range Extender?

3)Are you connecting to the 2.4 GHz network or the 5 GHz network? Does the problem occur in both cases? Do the 2 networks have the same SSID?

4)What other devices, wired and wireless, are connected to the router?

Try performing Clean Boot and see if the problem persists?

Have a look at How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support.

I have tried restarting the router and for me is not possible to connect via lan - i dont have lan connector or adapter (usb c to lan) on this laptop. But as i said if I share that same exact wifi through my smartphone and then connect laptop to it, it is magically working....

If possible connect using LAN and see if you are observing the same behavior?

Have tried restarting the router or turn it off for few minutes and turn it on again?
