Hi,

I wanted to get a password reset disk and i already plugged my key and everything works fine except when i open the forgotten password wizard it asks me for my password but the thing is since i'm on windows 11 i have a pin and facial recognition but i don't have a password and i can't put one since it's not in my settings. I've already tried leaving the box blank because the app said i could if i don't have a pass but it didn't work and kept on saying that my password is incorrect and i don't know how to fix it.

Hello, this is Emily.

Do you use a Microsoft account to sign into your computer? You can go to Settings > Accounts > Your info to see if your email is listed there? If so, password reset disk doesn't apply to you. Your Windows sign in password is your Microsoft account password itself. The reset disk is only created for when you use a local user to sign into Windows.
