My windows 11 laptop keeps changing its resolution to 640×480 on its own whenever i start steam or ubisoft application. I have to keep changing it manually to 1920×1080.

    Hi,

I'm Rodrigo and I'll help you.

Right-click the Steam and Ubisoft shortcuts > Properties > Compatibility tab. Make sure that the "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" option is unchecked.

I checked the compatibility tab and "run in 640×480" checkbox was checked. I unchecked it and now it is working fine.

    Thankyou for your support.

I created new profile and tried to launch ubisoft and steam in new one. It worked fine. But when i opened one of the games resolution again dropped but this time it automatically got corrected after the game started. In original profile, i had to change the resolution manually.

Once when i was starting ubisoft, a troubleshooter popup appeared and i selected that app started in lower resolution. I clicked on start troubleshoot but nothing happened.
