Windows security missing biometric options

Hi,

I have an issue with the biometric security options of my laptop: although I can access Windows through Windows Hello (face recognition and fingerprint), I do not find this option when the Windows Security popup ask my password (for instance, in chrome when I want to access the password manager it forces me to use the password).

Do you have any idea on how to get biometrics auth in Windows Security?

Thank you,

Stefano

    Hey Stefano!

My name is Ravi, an independent advisor and expert user. I am happy to help you. :)

The feature you're trying to get isn't specific to Windows. It depends on the program you use.

Google Chrome has added support for biometric sign-in. However, it's not available to all users yet. However, you can try enabling Windows Hello for Chrome.

1). Open Google Chrome, click the Customize and control Google Chrome button in the top-right corner, and then select Settings.

2). Select the Autofill and passwords tab, and click Google Password Manager on the right pane.

3). Click on Settings after opening the Password Manager. Toggle off the "Use Windows Hello when filling in passwords".

Feel free to get in touch again if you have any additional questions.

    Cheers,

    Ravi
