Hi I have a digital camera that is working perfectly fine. I tried to transfer the photos from the memory stick card and use the flash drive card reader and connect it to my Huawei laptop but it says "Please update your device's settings to accept media transfers" "Keep your device unlocked and make sure there are photos and videos on your device". Please help.

    Hello, Juliana Sta. Cruz

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

It seems that your laptop is not recognizing your memory card as a media device. You need to enable the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) on your camera to transfer photos between your memory card and laptop. Look for the option related to USB or storage settings on your camera or Huawei laptop, and make sure the option for media transfers or file transfers is enabled. If it is already enabled, try disabling it and then enabling it again.

Additionally, make sure that your memory stick card is not locked or write-protected.

If the issue persists, there might be a compatibility problem between the card reader and your Huawei laptop. In this case, you can try using a different card reader or connecting your digital camera directly to your laptop using a USB cable.
