Microsoft store doesn't work

Hello,

I recently just bought a new laptop, it runs the latest windows 10 version, and it seems to have problems with ms store. I live in Iran so I had to change the region for the store to work, the store shows the apps, but I feel like it's not complete nor it's supposed to look like this.

(I attached a screenshot at the bottom of the question.)

the ms store works perfectly fine on my old laptop, so it can't be internet issues.

I believed this was a windows installation failure, so here's a list of everything I've tried:

  • resetting my pc and reinstalling windows from local. (I didn't redownload windows if that's any help)
  • I extreme reset my ms store from the settings.
  • tried reinstalling ms store with powershell.
  • reset ms store using the command wsreset.exe
  • store troubleshooter didn't detect any problems.
  • I used sfc /scannow on both powershell and cmd, I also used the DISM commands as well.
  • I used VPNs and DNS servers to see if that's any help but no, it still shows the error code: 0X00000005 while saying "the thing you're looking for isn't here."
  • I disabled IPv6 in my wifi settings. (because that usually helps me, but it didn't this time.)

basically it shows the apps, but when I click on any links it just gives me the message I mentioned above.

I tried installing Minecraft from the official website, I downloaded the launcher, the store seems to download the necessary files, but then it says "failed to contact microsoft store" then it quits the installer.

so is there any ways to fix this pesky issue? all helps are appreciated!

    Hi Sideswipe Motiee,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

According to recent information from a similar issue, the APIs integrated with certain versions of Microsoft Store are outdated and may require an update to the Microsoft Store app itself.
