Network disconnects when booting games/programs

I'm having an extemely annoying issue that I can't seem to fix at all and has only happened recenty out of the blue.

Whenever I boot up a game e.g Call of Duty or EAFC, my network disconnects and I can't connect to WiFi - but only when my power adapter is plugged in?? (I'm on a laptop) If i'm hotspotting from my phone, no issue. If i'm running off battery only, no issue. But when the power is plugged in and I'm connected to my home WiFi it will not work and network turns off.

Have tried every fix I could find online and nothing has worked so far. As far as I can remember I had not accidentally deleted/updated any files or drivers - was working fine a few days ago!

Running latest version of windows 11, Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz

  • Any ideas? :/

    Hi,

So the issue is with the Intel drivers - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support...

Try to check if your manufacturer has provided any intel wifi drivers by checking the laptop manufacturer website with your laptop model number.

Please try to update and let me know.

    Hi Sabya, thanks for responding.

This issue started 2 days ago when I booted up for the first time in 4 days, worked perfectly fine then. Yes, regardless of platform, this issue occurs on all games. No issue when using LAN cable.

Have reinstalled wifi driver and unticked "allow computer to turnoff..." not sure if that helps, but still issue

also not sure if this is helpful, but error on event viewer:

    Hi ,

Sabya here, Independent Windows Adviser. Hope you are doing well.

Do you remember when the issue started?

Does the issue take place with all the multiplayer games regardless of you are using Xbox games, Steam, EA games, Epic and so on?

If you play single player game do you face the same issue?

Have you tried to use a LAN connection and checking if the same issue takes place?
