Hello. I’m having troubles when I’m trying to install Windows 10 and booting from USB it gives me that message. I’ve tried to remove the HDD and connect to another machine and install it worked but when I put it back on the original laptop it didn’t work, it gave me another error. I can’t access the CMD cause it doesn’t give me the Recovery Environment option. The Firmware Settings doesn’t open. Please someone help me with this error. It occurs when I’m booting from the USB.

    Hello Dave, thank you

    1. Yes, i created the bootable USB with Rufus.
    2. Yes, the BIOS setup is on UEFI mode and the Secure Boot is disabled.
    3. It’s a HP 250 G7 i3 with 4GB RAM (an other exact make and model in my company also has this error).
    4. I did not have any problems previously. I want to re-install the windows because there was a change in domains and the older domain is now unavailable, so, in order to change the domain to the new one I had to format the laptop because the older domain admin couldn’t be find so I could change the domain directly from the proprieties.

That should not happen, the problem is with the USB, the best option is to create a new bootable USB, possibly on another USB flash drive, and this time use the Media Creation Tool, not Rufus.

As soon as start the machine and choose the USB boot option, it goes directly to the blue screen. It doesn’t go further than that

Please provide full details on the installation process, how far you get into the process and exactly when that fails with the error.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

What method did you use to create the bootable USB, did you use the official Media Creation Tool to create a new bootable USB?

    2

If you boot into BIOS, is that set to UEFI mode, not Legacy and is Secure Boot temporarily disabled for the Windows installation process?

    3

What is the Make and model of your PC that you are trying to install Windows onto

    4

What happened on the PC that you need to re-install Windows, and did you have any problems with the RAM on your PC previously?
