So that email is legit.
But wait, so in order to access your Microsoft authenticator, you need to go through Google Authenticator first? The Microsoft authenticator is led by a Gmail account I assume?

Someone has repeatedly added Google authenticator to my microsoft account. How is it possible, someone has access to my account? When I check the activity on my account, no one else has logged in but me. How is it possible that someone has added a Google authenticator to my account? Thank you

Here is address @accountprotection.microsoft.com
Yes it was google authenticator, I use for login Microsoft authenticator.
Do you mind letting me know where the email came from? The forum here will censor email address, so please just share the part starting with @, for example, did it come from @accountprotection.microsoft.com?
In addition, when you went to remove the authenticator, did you remove it from your Microsoft account https://account.microsoft.com via Security > Advanced Options. Did it actually specifically say "Google" autheticator?
I found out when I got an email from microsoft security that google autheticator was added to my account. I logged in and removed the authenticator. But I had to do it twice, how is it possible that someone can add google authenticator to my account?
Hello David, this is Emily.
Can you go to https://account.microsoft.com, sign in, then go to Security > Advanced Security Options, do you see Authentication app is listed there as an option? Is that how you discovered your account was added to Google authenticator? If not, do you mind sharing a bit more context how you came to find out your account was added to Google authenticator? Thanks!
