I am no longer able to download both RAW and jpeg files of the same photo from my camera with the latest update to Photos. Is there a fix for this?

I often take photos with both RAW and jpeg formats of the picture saved on the camera. Prior to the latest update, Photos would recognize and download both the RAW and jpeg files to my computer. With the latest update of Photos, the program no longer recognizes that the jpeg file exists if there is also a RAW file of the same photo and therefore will not download the jpeg from the camera to my computer. If only a jpeg file is saved, Photos still recognizes and downloads the file. Tried going back to Legacy Photos and it does no longer detects any photos on my camera. Camera is Canon 77D. Any suggestions to get around this problem?

Hi KRH_751, hope you're doing well. I’m Ian, and I’m happy to help you today.

I would suggest to submit feedback to the support engineer team so that they can fix this in the future releases.

As a workaround, it would better to copy the files from your camera (SD card) to a specific folder. Then you can just import this import folder in the Photos app.

This much faster and will not limit you to import your jpeg and raw files.

This is a user-to-user support forum and I am a fellow user.

I hope this helps, but please let me know if you need anything else.
