    Sorry, I was offline.

If none of the other options are working for that, the the only option is to select the Windows Reset, you will be allowed to keep your personal files, but your software will need to be re-installed

Hi Dave, thank you for your response

Here is my current condition :

    • the computer always boot into recovery environment after it shows only black screen on the first boot
    • I run the startup repair many times (didnt work at all)
    • I tried the system restore but too bad it doesnt have any system restore point.
    • the computer even wont boot into safe mode, i try it many times too
    • I tried the icacls in cmd to reset all the regedit permission but the computer still can boot up to desktop (and i thought it may not be the cause of this problem)
    • i tried to uninstall the latest quality update (also didnt work)

So, if the hard reset or re install the computer is the only way

Can I got all my data backed up?

    ..

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - System Restore

Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to

That should undo any changes you have made.
