These are my settings right now. What do i change? Also i noticed my mics volume only decreases when i use it i think. Edit: I think it might be just discord. But idk how to fix it
Why does my Microphone's Volume randomnly decrease? And can i solve it?
I set the volume to 100. I use my mic and stuff, go on a discord call with my mates. Then i check 10 minutes later and my friends tell me they cant hear me well. So i check my microphones volume and i notice it's decreased. And has been decreasing over time. From 100 to 94 to 82 to 76 etc
Can someone please help me resolve / fix this. It's doing this on its own automatically, idk why. And when i try set it back to 100 it does nothing and will continue to decrease every time.

2023-11-30T01:10:18+00:00 I don't seem to have taht option on discord.
As shown previously, the option is under "Voice & Video":
while you're showing the options under "Advanced".
Also i disabled the settings like you said but the problem still occurs.
The available audio settings in Windows that could potentially be related to your issue are limited to the options mentioned before. Other possible causes might be related to the drivers and hardware, or they could be specific to Discord. These issues are not directly related to Windows unless you're experiencing similar problems with other applications as well.

Discord does have a setting called "Attenuation". It can lower the volume of other applications when someone is speaking.

2023-11-26T07:47:20+00:00 Hello, Bysh101
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
Did you disable these settings in Windows settings > System > Sound >
More sound settingsSound control panel (under Related Settings)? And is your Communications set to "Do nothing", as shown below?
In addition, other calling apps like Skype have their own settings for adjusting the microphone volume. For example, Skype has a feature called “Automatically adjust microphone settings”. Did you disable this as well if you're using Skype? You can also search for similar features if you're using other apps.
Also, have you updated or rolled back your audio driver? Visit the official website of the manufacturers to download and install the appropriate drivers.
