Hello all, I've been having intermittent BSODs with the error reason IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
I've run Driver Verifier and initially found the cause to be an older Logitech Gaming Software driver - I've since updated it to the most recent version available on the manufacturer's website (driver date 3/8/2018). However, I still seem to encounter inconsistent crashes - sometimes within a few minutes of booting up, sometimes after a few hours of uptime, and sometimes I'll go through a week of regular use and turning on/off without any errors.
Most recent crash details:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 00000000000000ca, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff8071d31df55, address which referenced memory

Hi David,
It appears to be an AMD driver this time:

I have also confirmed my RAM (CMK64GX4M2D3600C18) is compatible with my motherboard. After some online digging, it looks like one potential cause of this verifier crash is an out of date motherboard BIOS. My motherboard (MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI) BIOS version is from 8/5/2022, whereas the newest from MSI is on 10/12/2023. I'm going to download that and flash my BIOS, then see if the problem persists.
Thanks!
Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.
Your minidumps don't mention any driver as the cause of the crashes.
If you enable Driver Verifier again, is the Logitech Gaming Software driver still being mentioned?
Can you send the minidump created by the Driver Verifier?
I await your reply.
