transference of data when error interruption appeared

I was transferring data to usb when it said interruption. Now if i put usb in it ask me to insert usb when i try to open it under devices in control panel it is it shows drive e in a way that suggest the is nothing there. I figure is the simmax usb( or thumb drive ) has a problem but how can I get the computer to open the drive so that i can fix the problem that happened or can I?
