How to fix Ethernet Connection Issue? Troubleshooting steps do not work
My Ethernet Connection from my Eero 6E powered by Verizon Fios on my Windows 10 Desktop Computer (MSI Aegis).
It used to work with no issue for a year, but since this morning it has not worked anymore. I can connect to the internet via Wifi with my Computer (and other devices as well), and I’ve tried changing the ports and the cables, so basically it is not an issue from the ISP, not from Eero, not from the cables. That makes sense considering it used to work fine and just stopped working out of the blue.
I am up to date with Windows updates, but I was not when the issue started though. Could that be the reason for the disconnect?
What is weird is that on my Eero app it says that my Desktop IS connected and that there are no issues. It even has some activity when I am trying to diagnose my ethernet connection. But the diagnosis never works.
Every time I restart my PC, it says that my Ethernet Connection is Connected, but then when I try to use a web browser it does not work.
What I’ve done that has not worked: -Multiple resets of my Eero router (both unplugging it and using the button)
-Switching Ethernet Cables
-Switching Ports on my Eero
-Reset of my Verizon Fios Modem
-Ran the Windows Troubleshooting 10+ times (after each “solution”): multiple diagnoses with different error messages along the way
- The Default Gateway is not available.
- The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken
- Ethernet doesn’t have a valid IP configuration
- Last diagnosis only said 1. And 2. above -Check for Drivers update (drivers are/were up to date)
-Check that Internet Protocol Version 4 and 6 are set to obtain IP address and DNS server address automatically
-Ran a few commands as an administrator via the Windows Console (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-ethernet-connection-problems-in-windows-2311254e-cab8-42d6-90f3-cb0b9f63645f#WindowsVersion=Windows_10):
Type netsh winsock reset and select Enter.
Type netsh int ip reset and select Enter.
Type ipconfig /release and select Enter.
Type ipconfig /renew and select Enter.
Type ipconfig /flushdns and select Enter.
-Called Eero Support for an hour (contributed to some of the steps above, with no success)
How can it say my Modem has a connection issue when it is connected to the internet with Wifi? (see image attached)
Thank you so much if you can help, it drives me nuts.

2023-10-11T13:34:37+00:00 Yes this, thanks.
Try to follow this procedure: turn off the router by also unplugging the power cord from the electrical outlet, unplug the network cable from both ends, turn the router back on after a few minutes, reconnect the network cable and try again.

2023-10-10T19:40:04+00:00 I am not sure I understand your question.
At some point I also was not able to connect to the wifi, but I was able to get that issue fixed easily.
It is the Ethernet Connection that I am trying to fix at the moment, and for now nothing has worked.

2023-10-10T19:40:47+00:00 Is the PC network cable connected directly to the router's LAN port or through the wall Ethernet socket or other device?
If you have the possibility, try connecting another PC to the router using the same network cable and see if it works.
