Hi again, Maurizio.
In order to uninstall the main monitor driver, please open the Device manager console, expand Monitors category and delete the Integrated monitor.
Let me know if that solves the issue, please.

Hello,
I have this strange problem. My actual configuration is notebook with 3 external monitors: 1 connected to HDMI port, the other 2 to the 2 HDMI port in USB C Hub.
I can't access monitor settings window (I don't know the exact name ot the english menù, I'm translating from italian), neither with the related menù voice on right-click desktop menù, nor accessing through settings window. If I try to access, the setting window remains black with the "settings" icon in the center and I must terminate it to close.
Accessing the monitor settings through Nvidia panel, I noted that I have 2 screens identified with number 1 (the other are 2 and 3), so I have 1-1-2-3 as monitor identifications. The notebook monitor is always 1, but if I unplug all the other monitors and then connect only 1 monitor (doesnt'n matter which one, the result is the same), the connected monitor is another monitor 1 (so I have 2 monitors: 1-1). If I connect the second external monitor, this will be monitor 2 (and I have 1-1-2), and so on.
With this situation is impossible to manage the notebook monitor settings (I can't change resolution, and I can't change monitor position). The result is that the notebook monitor is unreacheble with the mouse pointer (it's impossible to know where is located related the other monitors), and that strange number assignment cause the freeze of monitor settings page.
The question is: How can I reset the monitor identify assignment? I tried a lot of procedure, I updated intel graphics and nVidia drivers, but the result is always the same.
Even without external monitor plugged, the monitor settings page is not working. The only way to access it is rebooting in safe mode. But when I restard in normal mode, the menu stil not working.
I don't want to reinstal windows, I like a solution to solve the problem.
Thanks
Please note that the "1" monitors in the picture are not mirrored.

Hello,
I installed again the chipset drivers, but after reboot the problem is still present.
How can I uninstall the main notebook monitor? Maybe this operation could reassign the monitor identification number.
Regards
Thanks for your feedback, Maurizio.
Please install again the chipset drivers. You can get it from the computer support website. When the installation is done, please reboot the computer.
Hello,
thanks for your replay. I executed your instruction, and at the next reboot the screens configuration was reset (all the 4 monitors in mirror mode), but the problem is still present (I can't open the monitor settings, and through the nVidia Panel I see again the assignment 1-1-2-3)
Hi, Maurizio. I'll be happy to assist you today.
Sorry to know you're experiencing this monitor issue.
In order to solve this issue, please boot your computer into safe mode and open regedit. First, create a copy of the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Configuration
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Connectivity
Next delete both keys from Regedit, finally reboot the computer in normal mode.
Please let me know if that fixes your issue or if you need any further assistance.
