Microsoft Remote Desktop is not recognizing my computers password

I am trying to set up my computer for remote desktop and after allowing it to use remote desktop, every time I try to log into the computer, it keeps giving me an error saying, "the user account did not work". It seems that it is trying to connect. I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong.

    Hi Michael,

Have you tried the other suggestion in that same thread which is to create a local user account, assign a password and add that login to remote desktop users?

Thank you Jen for your reply.

I am only able to login to my windows machine via my PIN. I am not sure what the difference is between PIN and password as I only set up a PIN on the laptop. I logged out, rebooted, and I am still having the same problem.

    Any other thoughts?

    Thanks again.
