I’m sorry to see that you’ve marked my reply as not helpful. Please note we’re not Microsoft but fellow Windows users like yourself & as we cannot see the problem/s first-hand we can only make suggestions for you to try which may or may not work.

I would certainly recommend different imaging software like Macrium.

Is the Music folder under OneDrive set to online storage only? This may be why the image is saying the folder doesn’t exist on the pc. Can you choose to deselect those folders from the backup?

Have you tried running a virus scan in case the entry is malware remnants?

Try running these programs:

MBAM free: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ ensure scan for rootkits is enabled.

Eset online scanner: http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

Adwcleaner: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

If these find one or more infections but do not fully remove them it will be wise to register with a malware removal site to receive dedicated malware removal instructions, an expert will remain with you throughout the process until confirmation that your PC is 100% clean.

    Windows 11 Pro 22H2

I am using the windows 7 backup as you mentioned.

For both items. I did check and see the folder did not exsist.

One of the things I also tried. Was to add the the folder in. But after a re start they are gone again.

I also have a 3rd party program that I bought. Called R-Drive. I used to have acronis on my old PC. On this new one from Dell. I found good reviews on R-Drive and so much easier to use.

I did not mention this before so as not to complicate things. But I did also get a couple of errors with R-Drive. I did also contact them. And they are suppose to get back with me by email. Not sure if that will happen.

And I think it may be the same problem with both backups.

Below is the massage I get from R-Drive

" * 4599 files of 4599 have been successfully copied.

    * The operation completed successfully.

! Error launching external command 'R-Drive Image backup', error code 2 (The system cannot find the file specified (2))"

I am wondering if I should try and reinstall one drive. Just to see if that will fix the issuse. And then turn it off instead of a uninstall.

Thanks for any help. I have hours trying to fix this.

Hello, I’m Virginia, a fellow user like yourself.

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing problems. May I ask which Windows 10/11 build are you running - 21H2 or 22H2?

Are you using the deprecated Windows 7 backup, the new backup app or a third party program?

Have you checked under that folder to see if that file is still there?

The best way to backup is to use a disk image. This will save a snapshot of your pc as an disk image, then should a problem occur you can use recovery media or the program’s recovery drive to restore the image.

Windows has Windows backup & restore but this is a deprecated feature so may have problems.

Microsoft recommend using third party software:

    “System Image Backup (SIB) Solution

We recommend that users use full-disk backup solutions from other vendors.”

    https://docs.microsoft.com/windows/deployment/p...

If Windows 7 backup & restore is not working for you in windows 10/11then you may have to consider moving to third party solutions or use File History & OneDrive which just backs up certain files & folders.

Of the two I would recommend disc imaging software.

I use Macrium Home but there is a free version still:

    https://updates.macrium.com/reflect/v8/ReflectD...

This is a direct download of the older free version due to Macrium no longer offering a free option with ver 8.1.

    AOMEI backup free: https://www.aomeitech.com/ab/standard.html

    EaseUS backup free: https://www.easeus.com/backup-software/tb-free....

Note: These are non-Microsoft websites. The pages appear to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the sites that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products).

Please do not download any repair tool which may be offered by these sites other than the ones I mention/recommend.

Thoroughly research any product which is mentioned here before you decide to download and install it.
