Can't save jpg files emailed to me as jpg

This issue started all of a sudden about three weeks ago. When I receive emails containing photos in jpg format, and I want to save them to my laptop in jpg format, I can only save them as a pdf, with the only other option to change the file extension to All files. This still saves it in pdf format and when I try to open it to view it, a message appears in a pop-out window about a free 7-day trial to create a pdf?

Hi there, I am John J.D., a fellow Microsoft user like you.

I understand you're facing trouble saving JPG files. I'd like to help you out. Could you share more details about the specific issue you're encountering?

Also, could you let me know which email app you're using, and confirm if the files are indeed sent to you in JPG format?

Let's work together to resolve the issue.

    John J.D.
