Hey everyone, currently reaching out on my desktop in regards to my laptop. Asus rog strix GL553VE.

I recently go the laptop back up and running. Unfortunately, i decided to be careless and try to figure out why the laptop screen was not coming on, so i removed the front bezzle and decided to wiggle around the laptop cable. In the process of doing that, the laptop shut out, battery light was on for like 5 seconds, then completely went blank. I figured if i short circuited anything, it would've immediately shut off. I was able to remove both harddrives from the laptop as well as the m.2 SSD, so i figured if it short circuited the laptop, then i would've lost those drives. Well low and behold, i was able to pull the dump file off the hard drive. Yes im sure you're supposed to have a certain layout of the log file, but unfortunately i can not access the laptop.

Any ideas on what may have happened, or what my next step should be?

This is the minidump file from the laptop's main harddrive.

Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, upon analyzing and checking the DMP files, the error NETIO.SYS is actually a Windows Driver framework that is associated with the drivers, which allows communication between hardware and connected device, for us to fix the issue, kindly follow the steps below and I hope that works:

Method 1. Check for Windows updates:

Go to Settings > Windows update > Click Check for Updates and follow the prompt to update your PC.

Method 2. Run system file checker.

On Powershell(admin), copy, paste, and enter each command below:

    sfc /scannow

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Once done restart the PC and check.

    Method 3. Do clean boot:

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    • On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    • Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    • Close Task Manager.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

Additional note: If the issue persists, we need to further analyze the error, kindly upload the minidump files so that we can check:

Press Windows key + E (To open file explorer)

Click "This PC" > then follow the file path:

    C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy the Minidump files and save them to another location like Desktop or Documents.

Then please upload it to Cloud storage like OneDrive or any cloud storage you are using and please share the shareable link here.

To upload and share the link using One Drive:

Go to this link: https://onedrive.live.com/ then upload the file

Then provide the shareable link by following the steps from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/shar...

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.

Unfortunately bernard, i just checked the computer again and it appears it definitely does have some sort of power issue. I am not even getting a charging light or battery light. I try and turn on the pc and it just does nothing at all. I talked with the manufacturer just a few minutes ago and they're going to send me another motherboard in replacement. I've been having issues with it since i received it. Thank you for your response!

You are always welcome and that would be the best step to take, and hopefully, it will be all good after motherboard replacement.
